Using just single sound steps (Brush, Spank, Scuff, Stamp, Step, Stomp, Tap, Heel Tap, Heel Dig, Hop, Spring, and Heel Drop), dancers are challenged with over 1000 combinations. Most travel forward, backward, sideways, and turn. From your youngest tapper to your most experienced class, combinations are provided that will improve weight shifting, aid memory, encourage new movement patterns, increase clarity and speed, expand movement conceptions, and build strength.
The manual is divided into 5 major patterns. Each pattern then lists all the variations of the footwork. All footwork is given on the right side only and can easily be reversed to begin with the left side. Notes on direction or rotational breaks from normal are provided on all applicable patterns. A glossary of terms used in the manual is also included.
